MTG is also pushing for release of the Epstein files whose withholding has been a sore point for Republicans.

I’m pretty sure she’s also spoken out against the delay on swearing in Adelita which Republicans have frowned on and brought up the rising cost of living.

Why? Because Trump is old and he will die in a near enough future (maybe during his term, maybe after). The MAGA crowd will be left rudderless and numerous people will be vying to take over and suck up that leaderless support base onto themselves.

MTG is positioning herself for exactly that by appealing to the desires of MAGA that Trump and the other republicans have withdrawn from. Most would think it’s a bad strategy to speak differently to Trump if you want to pull his MAGA crowd in but reality is they’ll be seeking the things Trump didn’t give them, not the things they got.

I love her humanness. It’s refreshing to see in a politician. Call it her “other side,” or “a softer persona,” I call it growth.
