another day another corruption scandal in the EU parliament at this point im not even surprised anymore
And yet another criminal from the CDU. This Party ist a gathering of thieves and corrupted.
>Niebler has been accused by EPPO of hiring assistants to chauffeur her from her hometown of Munich to Brussels and Strasbourg, as well as to private and business appointments not linked to her work as an MEP.
Even for a corrupt politician, this seems dumb. Easily provable and of minute benefit, if any.
>EPPO also alleges that she got her assistants in Brussels to carry out private chores not related to her work as a lawmaker, and hired an assistant in Germany using Parliament cash to work for a former MEP colleague.
Again, tiny benefit for (hopefully…) enormous risk. All apparently provable as well, since the prosecutor’s office wants immunity lifted. Shows how safe she felt.
Hopefully they throw the proverbial book.
