Note: Navajo Nation, partially located in Arizona, *does* observe Daylight Savings, while the rest of the state does not.

So why can some states have permanent standard time on their own, and others (orange and yellow) need federal approval? Why dont all the individual states switch to permanent standard right now?

As an Iowan, I’d hate permanent daylight savings time. Waking up this morning was so much easier and it wasn’t black out driving to work.

Whoever ends these shenanigans by maximizing daylight in the evenings all year round can have my vote!

Standard time should be year-round. We don’t need 8:30pm sunsets in the summer

I feel we should just pick one and go with it. Switching time twice a years just seems… archaic. There’s going to be regions of the country that benefit from one or the other, but if we finally just picked one and stuck with it, things like school start times would adjust overtime.
