      Since many right-wingers will probably draw the IPC report into question as they did with the last report the IPC published: Yes, they were working with limited data and extrapolated from it. Surprise, in a lot of places that are under siege it is very difficult to get data out. Also, the measure of GAM prevalence by MUAC they employed for El-Fasher is NOT a weaking of standards. This measure exceeding 15% has always been a valid condition for declaring a famine and the 19.3% they found for El-Fasher is well clear of the threshold and also even higher than the 16% they found in Gaza.

      It is extremely critical to fund aid organizations that provide emergency food aid and there have to be diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire.

      If you live in Sudan, why even have kids? There is no future and then they complain about food and war.
