If Trump says there will be no trade talks, there will be trade talks.
If Trump says there will be no wars, the US will start a war.

Widdle Donnie needs to step off because we can hurt the US economy more than he thinks. Potash, electricity, lumber, and all kinds of inputs for the auto industry come from Canada. I’m happy to see America suffer if it means Canada grows stronger. Pull out of all defense BS, deport all US military personnel from Canada, and choke the upstream treaty obligations along the Columbia River because you know Trump won’t honour the treaty anyways.

Negotiating with that demented narcissist is fucking impossible anyways.

In the end the Trump Administration will settle for 80% of what was already in place and claim this is an astounding victory. I would call it a win-win.

Trump can kiss my Canadian ass.

In the meanwhile, Carney is signing Canada trade agreements in Asia and Mexico.
Good bye USA

Time to make deals with other countries then.

He won’t honour any agreement he makes anyways, so it’s probably for the best.

The reality is NAFTA and the earlier FTA saw benefits „front end loaded“ to the Yanks, with Canada and Mexico happy to play second fiddle if it got them long term stability and investment. So when Trump welched on the deals what he is doing is stabbing the neighours in the back. Nice work, Magas.

Carney needs to prevent large Canadian interests from being purchased by Americans.
The hundred-millionaires need to sock their money somewhere, and buying up Canadian industries is a way to achieve the „economic annexation“ that trump threatened Canada with.
(Obviously the hundred-millionaires know that the economy and the stock market is getting shaky due to Trump’s tariffs and his other errors.)

We already assumed Trump wouldn’t bargain in good faith and hes pissed he can’t extort us. We’re looking further afield.

No point negotiating a deal when he will just break it the next time he feels like it.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the ad…i think Canada is not giving in to their bullying like other countries and negotiations are difficult prompting them to back away to teach Canada their place. South Korea, according to Trump, is paying the US 350 billion for the privilege of trading with them. I dont think Canada will play that kind of game. I believe this is the real issue. Carney has been pretty straight with this. No deal, when we already have a trade deal, is better than a bad deal !!

Had anyone told the Orange Moron that the Canadian PM is too busy getting ready to A) pass a budget this week, and B) visit President Xi in China at Xi’s request, as China has said they would like to triple trade with Canada.
Or we could talk to this idiot and get insulted by his toddler tantrums.
What should Canada do? 🤔

It has nothing to do with the Reagan add. He wants to economically destroy Canada so USA can come take over.

I would rather Carney just completely ignore this buffoon and spend all his time and energy on trade talks with other countries. If I could have one wish it’s that all other countries ignore this orange idiot and work together and leave them out completely. Let them wallow in the miss they made

Guess what: Mark Carney was deftly maneuvering Trump to a reasonable trade solution when his handlers finally gave him a reason to bail out. Trump’s cabal never wanted a deal to begin with. Clue Canada’s political opposition’s call blaming Carney in 3,2,1…

This Canada hatred is some of the clearest indication that Trump is a Russian agent. There’s no other reason for it other than to break up our most important alliance.
