The increase was from Biden’s expansion of the program, which was dold as „paid for itself“ back in 2009.
Government should not be providing healthcare.

Universal healthcare is great, you guys really make me scratch my head.
America has the highest costs and the lowest returns, because everyone charges as much as they can because there’s no check on them to do so.
Universal healthcare negotiates the price down for everything.
Anyone who doesn’t want it is confused, scared, or shilling for the medical industrial complex.
The ACA, a.k.a Obama Care was the Republican healthcare plan. Obama believed Republicans would support their own plan, since they would never support a public funded healthcare plan. Oh, how wrong he was. And the ACA sucks since the fed’s subsidy has expired.
when obamacare was signed. Tempory funding was given to market place plans to give time for the free market to adjust. It was supposed to make health care cheaper overall.. Thats not happened. instead its become a giant transfer of wealth to the insurance companies, who raise rates every year. There is no marketplace or competition. Obamacare didnt work. subsidizing obamacare isnt going to fix health care in this country. The health care system needs an overhaul.

Solving the massive issues we have with healthcare in the US is a very hard problem to tackle.
Tackling hard problems and actually fixing things is not among this administrations priorities. They’re making too much money milking the system to give a shit about that.
The Obamacare premiums had increased subsidies added because of the Covid-19 situation. When they were enacted, there was a sunset clause to end them, so further legislation is required to continue them.
Now, President Trump has stated a rationale for continuing the subsidies with this statement:

If that was true, then it would mean:
– We’ve all been made a part of an experiment.
– We’ve had our civil rights violated.
– *All deaths are homicides*
– Madmen have permanently added to the environment a new pathogen destructive to human health.
Unfortunately, the Dems are allied with the Chinese lab, so they decline to make a Covid-19 case for continuing the Covid-19 enhanced subsidies. It shows their priorities, protecting their lab killer buddies first, and then, if possible, keep the subsidies. This conflict of interest impairs their ability to advocate.
There is not a single rank and file Democrat that benefits by the Democrats opposing Trump’s finding on the origin of Covid-19.
Trump is correct – the virus was man made, and with the introduction of man-made pathogens, the pre Covid status quo no longer exists, which is why the subsidies should be extended. But, no Democrat is willing to make that argument.
Health insurance isn’t meant to be universal or cover most of what the aca has forced it to. The govt subsidizing things just cause that thing to grow. So when they took a shitty model and pumped trillions of dollars into it, we got an even bigger and shittier industry that gets costlier each year.
Single payer doesn’t work, but especially when you import millions of illegals annually. We already had that for the poorest and elderly. We still have that, but it’s more expensive, and private plans have their deductible and premium double every 5-10 years. It’s been a failure.
The only thing with meaningful change was covering preexisting conditions. That has royally fucked over people that actually take care of themselves, and the real impact of Obamacare has been the tripling in number of administrators and the number of brand new mini-hospitals. and the lobbyists, can’t forget them.

Nothing is being kept secret. They don’t have a plan. They have the presidency and both chambers of congress. If they had a plan, they would have tried to pass it by now.
They did have a plan. Romney’s plan, Reagan’s plan. That became the model for Obamacare. As the left moved to the right, the right abandoned that plan and moved further right.
Trump has stated his plans before, ones that worked, the left fought him every step. Why would they share it, even if it is good, no one will support it simply because it’s Trump.
Kinda fucking evil to deny affordable (basic) healthcare to the people that pay for your (world class) healthcare whether you decide if it’s in YOUR best interest or not. The aca is not free and undocumented immigrants are NOT covered in any way. My tax dollars provide politicians the best for you and I don’t mind some of my money going to the people who truly need it. Show me someone in the White House or congress that won’t be able to afford food, rent, and medical care without help. Kindness and empathy are something that have no meaning to these heartless, soulless elites.
