Man.. I remember when nVidia was just doing pre-shader register combiners for videogames.

Now it’s all flashbacks to ‚rsa algorithm is a munition‘ type days.

It’ll be interesting to see how this works out for him, these chips are a global effort that requires input and support from other nations to work. That’s why China hasn’t been able to catch up, and how the US could lock them out.

But now he thinks he can deny every other nation?

    4. I mean if that’s the case it’s brilliant for the rest of the world. It means even basic things on dependence will be weaponized and there should be a open version accesible at all times even if it’s not the best on the best

So yesterday he was saying they could have it. Just wait 4 more days.

    6. Nvidia’s got money. They can just buy another ballroom and suddenly exporting to China won’t be a problem.

    7. I mean Trump can say that all he wants, but they’re just going to buy them from countries that buy them from us. All Trump is doing is creating middlemen. The US is a laughing stock right now do you really think any other nation on the planet really gives a shit how trump feels about who buys our chips?

    8. Incoming another trade fight that Trump will lose like he has lost every single one to date.

Dude is a fucking narcissist failure

    9. Trump says! On your knees, you worms! Once said by the king of the world, it must be followed

    10. Google sells China TPUs instead and China allows YouTube to operate in the country. Google stocks go up.

Well too late, trump already relaxed Biden era policy to allow much more powerful chips to go to China. Is he going to reverse that now? Why is it always every position yet no position for this admin

China is already on their way of developing competing chips. Not nearly as advanced (for now) but enough to get rid of American chips eventually.

That’s ok, they are being superseded by analogue GPU for AI anyway.
