Japan was a ‚hands-off‘ target for most of its online existence, despite it being a sitting duck. It was part of the goodwill from the online hacking groups. Now that many members in Japanese society are engaging the outside world with more anti-foreign policies, and certain companies began bullying smaller ambitious startups… That goodwill has eroded, and it makes the easy target prey for the taking.
There are hackers virtually everywhere, and if they wanted to, they could have raided the pantry earlier.
Sometimes it is better to keep the mask on.
