    1. She’s absolutely talentless and therefore has to do desperate things like this for attention. Same reason she did the stunt of fucking Kanye.

I can see the appeal in trying to be “shocking” and “edgy” with this sort of costume, but I also think it’s in pretty poor taste, and I 100% understand why Schlossberg finds it offensive.

It’s fine. Reminds me of when Lois Griffin dressed up as the guy Laura Bush killed.. Laura Bush killed a guy

    4. To give you an idea of how taboo this is, that dress is in possession of the National Archives and they keep it in a salt mine with the policy that it won’t ever be on public view within our lifetimes.

I don’t know who either of these people are and I’m constantly online.

    6. Why do you think she wore it? It was a publicity stunt and it worked. It’s not like she has a classy elegant reputation to uphold lol

There is a time when tragedy becomes camp, Salem is a major Hallowern tourist town now, because of the massive injustice that happened there, but that was 300 years ago.

Julia Fox is insufferable. This statement is so self aggrandizing and ridiculous. Girl you are not making a statement. This was not brave.

„I’m dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement,“ Fox wrote.

„When her husband was assassinated, she refused to change out of her blood-stained clothes, saying, ‘I want them to see what they’ve done.’ The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history,“ she continued. „Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation.“

„Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery,“ Fox said. „It was performance, protest, and mourning all at once. A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It’s about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance. Long live Jackie O ♥️“

There is no way you wear that without seeing the insensitive nature of it. Seeking for attention and unfortunately it has worked because I don’t even follow r/entertainment and it has popped up in my feed.

    10. I’m fairly certain her weird description was only a response to backlash.

There is nothing empowering about this and her explanation is truly spoken like someone who has never had proximity to real blood shed. Because- what the fuck.

It’s Halloween for god’s sake. Also for all intents and purposes Jackie O was not a feminist role model lol.

    11. I SLAM my face into bricks every time I read the word SLAM in a news article.

      Oh fuck you dude.

The head of state is a fucking clown who shits himself.

As far as I’m concerned, we’re in a post-outrage society. If you want your rights to be outraged restored, then help restore decorum first, then you can be outraged.

Nobody gets to complain about bad jokes whilst inside of the circus tent.

      Nobody.

I find it interesting how many people here are super upset about this. Like i see multiple 9/11 jokes every single day and no one bats an eye, but a halloween costume is going too far lol

That’s the spirit of Hallowe’en- the macabre, to honour the dead, to frighten the ghouls, I could see if it was recent. On the other hand hand I would explode if it were my parent so maybe I’m wrong.
