    1. heats up. expels gas. changes direction. it’s not rocket science.

talking of blue – has also changed colour, a more blue colour, due to expulsion of CO and N compounds, typical of an interstellar object. normally, a local comet would give off dust and turn red/der

Utter tosh. To exactly predict the trajectory scientists would need to know the mass of it.

They don’t even know the size of the nucleus, let alone it’s density.

Guys it’s not an alien. It’s fucking swamp gas reflecting off of Venus.

    6. What if whatever they tried to redirect that one asteroid they actually sent out a spacecraft to trick people it’s aliens

    7. Come on… ’non-gravitational acceleration‘ yeah it’s burning and losing mass that will accelerate an object.

    8. “Non gravitational acceleration” is likely expulsion of gas and debris from heating.. not an engine.

    9. „Baffles scientists.“ Meanwhile the article quotes a scientist who is explaining why the object moved the way it did.

This is dumb.. at first it all seemed kinda cool but this is just some distraction

I’m just gonna say, if anything happens, it will almost certainly be Project Blue Beam.
