    1. Nobody lining up for grand propaganda performances? Not even the cultists? They ain’t refinancing the single-wide to watch „The Epic of Dear Leader“?

      Predictable outcome.

I imagine the smell of dirty diapers permeates the venue from his balcony seats. Maybe take in some open air concerts this season instead…

Conservatives can never grasp the idea that they can’t create anything anyone wants to see except themselves. They love everything about liberal art, but because its liberal will deny themselves enjoyment. It scares them that they could find meaning in liberal ideas.

So they call it evil and whip themselves with chains.

Hopefully this is a huge opportunity for other organizations not associated with Trump.

He thinks that he’s a person of high culture, but he is really just gilded trash like the decorations that he hangs on the wall.

Don’t worry guys. It’ll be plowed over by years end. I’m sure he has another gaudy and tacky ballroom to build.

    7. That’s the point. That’s why it’s a losing battle.

He is trying to destroy and dismantle, it’s easy and effective.

    8. similar to what is happening to the reputation of America in general. Current regime is making a way way way weaker America. Easily one of the greatest global embarrassments and indictment on American people that voted for him.

oh, and why does one get such mega pedo perv vibes oozing from this orange face?

Coming soon, the Kid Rock residency at the Kennedy Center. Surely that will pack the seats /s

    10. When I think of the Trump administration, the first thing that comes to mind is „the arts“.

    11. Trump liking the musical Les Misérables shows he has no idea what it’s really about. Him being “in charge” of anything related to the arts is a joke. He’s a classless, uncultured ignoramus, and no amount of money will ever fix that.

Just remember for anyone on staff possibly reading – it’s **them** not you. When this is over I’ll gladly buy tickets

„Not to worry! Kid Rock’s one-man-show version of Oklahoma! is sure to be a hit. And Lara Trump’s ‚popular songs completely off key‘ concert will cause ticket sales to skyrocket!“

Everything he touches turns to shit. All that ever needs to be said.

I’m a professional musician in DC and have performed at the KC many times. After I fulfilled my pre-existing contracts, I have since refused to accept any work there until he is no longer affiliated with the venue. He strategically placed his portrait (along with VP and 1&2 ladies) directly above the artists’ entrance as a mockery to the performers. There were never portraits or art of any kind hanging there before.

As a massive understatement, he’s such a turd.

    16. The tyrant destroys whatever organization he becomes involved with. So par for the course.

    17. Like all properties under Trump management, including the White House, Trump turns everything to shit and pays more than he can afford to do it.

Do MAGAs even go to cities? Most of them are terrified of all cities. It’s crazy

      Coming soon:

„Hmm, nobody goes to Kennedy Center events, so running programs there must be a waste of money. I guess the best option is to sell the building and all related programs to a private investor.“

    20. America_Is_Fucked_ on

It must absolutely suck for the people who work there. Obviously I have zero sympathy for the Trump-installed fucks at the top.

I, for one, am shocked to learn that magats are not prolific patrons of the performing arts.

    22. People don’t want to see Lee Greenwood, the Village People and Kid Rock? Shocking

    23. The first people to read the writing on the wall and leave Nazi Germany were the playwrights. Just saying.

As a theatre professional this is sad but also unsurprising and I’d say this is what they get for even allowing him to take over.
