I tend to think people who will treat their adversary as sub-human will also treat their allies as sub-human.

Having seen videos of ~20 year old Russian ‚deserters‘ basically being clubbed to death I’m not surprised…
I have seen some horrid shit both irl and on the internet but I will never forget their panicked and painfilled screams. This whilst the ‚man‘ that was doing this seemed to have the time of his life.
Sick people…

Turns out the Hostel franchise was more fact than fiction.

It might seem callous to say this, but this will benefit the Ukraine. Competent Russian soldiers and officers are a huge threat, but if men like this are being tortured because some higher up didn’t like their constructive criticism, then the effectiveness of the Russian army will drop considerably.
This war is not like a football match, more like a chess game where efficient management and technology decides the outcome not sweat, although sweat and blood is still necessary of course, but Russia is placing the high school bullies in charge instead of the smartest nerds they can find. Their system is starting to fall apart. It might be compared to Stalin during ww2 who, although his system was torn apart by the purges, he put it on hiatus due to the massive existential threat posed by Nazi Germany. Putin is doing the opposite, trying to impose a centralized brutally oppressive hierarchy in the middle of a war. It suggests his goal is to use the war and emergency powers to cement his position and internal political power over Russia.

At this point I don’t think anyone is surprised about it considering the atrocities we’ve seen they commit and then brag about it in social media.

Well…this is actually quite helpful for Ukraine.
Keep it up.
