🇩🇰 Dänemark gilt als das günstigste Land, da für den Kauf einer solchen Wohnung etwa 57 Monatsgehälter (≈4,8 Jahre) erforderlich sind. 🇵🇹 Portugal liegt mit über 200 benötigten Monatsgehältern (≈17,2 Jahre) am Schlusslicht.
💡Dies ist ein theoretischer Indikator – er berücksichtigt weder Finanzierung noch Steuern, bietet aber einen vergleichbaren Überblick über die Erschwinglichkeit von Wohnraum in ganz Europa.

In which city? Biggest or somehow averaged between all?
A more detailed geographical subdivision would be much more useful, wouldn’t it be? In large countries, there are enormous differences between regions, and an average is meaningless.
Nonsense plot, averages over complete countries are useless.
There are regions in Eastern Germany where they almost pay YOU to take the apartment , while you won’t find any apartment to buy in Munich.
Now do, how many months of disposable incomes are needed to buy a 70-m² apartment in Europe
How many monthly net salaries? Or how many months worth of salary it takes?
The „average“ should be included in map title.
plus, I can’t really see the point of this, since the housing prices can differ as much as 10x per square meter within a single city, depending on location, type of housing, amenities etc.
For example, in Latvia, the average net salary is 1500.
An apartment in the most prestigious district of the capital, according to current real estate ads, can cost anywhere from 37K to 300K. One is prewar timber house, the other is a new project.
Your lightest color probably shouldn’t be that close to the color of countries without data
Unfortunately, it does not make any sense at all to do averages for a full country.
I live in Austria’s capital, Vienna (2m inhabitants), and earn an above average salary of 3.200 net per month. An average 70 sqm apartment in Vienna costs at least around 500.000€, which would make it approx. 153x my monthly salary.
Mind that I earn above average. The average for full time workers is 2.500€ which would make it a 200x multiple.
