      I knew it was Senator Warner (D) of VA. He’s in the Gang of 8! That’s hardcore. They are required to be kept informed. Yes, loopholes, outside the law, no one enforces anything, but this is still crazy scary. Yes, like everything else. Just getting my thoughts out.

      Trump tried to invade Venezuela in his first term. One of the people who also strongly pushed for this was Rubio. He was stopped by his advisors. He also publicly said he wanted to steal Venezuela’s oil. They have the largest oil reserves in the world.

      He made Rubio Secretary of State in his second term and is pretending to fight fentanyl smugglers. There is no fentanyl trade from Venezuela to the U.S. Zero. Cocaine, yes. Marijuana, yes. Fentanyl? Zero.

      They are murdering fishermen in a ramp‑up to provoke a reaction and create a justification for an invasion.
      It’s Iraq all over again. Republicans lying in order to start another forever war. I hope people learned their lesson about letting Bush get away with this. Because if they do what I’ve predicted here, Trump should be turned over to The Hague to face justice.

      Wow what a surprise! The administration that has spent all their energy demonizing their political opponents while outright lying about their policies is now just excluding them from information? It’s almost as if these fascists want to rule as the sole party in this country without *any* input from a single person not aligned with them. Then they clutch their pearls performatively when you call them fascists.

      “Military strikes” without congressional approval, no transparency, no cause, is extra-judicial murder. People in small boats blown up and with zero evidence they are a threat to national security. Throw it on the pile of impeachable offenses.

      I suspect that even if Democrats regain power, the institutions have been subverted, the culture of democracy eroded too far to reverse this kind of practice. With this example, with all the examples piling up day by day, the next Democrat is going to face high pressure to be as ruthlessly power consolidating and competitive in every aspect of how they run the government. Competitive autocracy is the trend. The country I grew up in seems gone.
