I once as a teenager read this huge 10 book sci-fi series that was decent but way too long winded and weird. Then years later I found out that dude wrote an entire religion that millions follow and I just laughed and laughed. Then I found out the guy in his underwear from Risky Business was a devout follower and I laughed some more.
