Meine Freundin hat aus Versehen ein anderes Auto zerkratzt und einen Zettel mit einer Entschuldigung und ihrer Telefonnummer hinterlassen. Jetzt haben sie Kontakt zu ihr aufgenommen und behaupten, der Schaden belaufe sich auf 500 €, das klingt für mich übertrieben und ich glaube, sie wollen sie übers Ohr hauen. Was denken Sie?

500 for that kind of damage is cheap if you ask me.
Yeah both panels need to be removed and I think that’s a normal price for a panel beater.
If that was my car I wouldn’t be happy with a 500 euro repair. I think she’s done well

Don’t do that. Ask the other party to file a claim through his/her insurance and you open a claim with your insurance and let them deal with it.
When I look at it closely I do not see any panel beating required, there seems to be some deep scratches that will need to be filled and sprayed. I find 500 to be excessive for the work involved .

Probably it costs 500 eur but on Malta foing to a panel beater would make you fork out wasily 700 eur

250 euros a panel to buff out the scratch, repaint and cost of labor. The people asking for 500 euros are being fair and honest.
Do you know any panel beaters? You could ask them?
I mean that’s probably the cost to spray both panels, as you can’t just do the little bit as the paint will be different colours (as in one will be fresh, the other dull and old)
Failing that you could go round with t-cut and a lot of patience, but it’ll be some work polishing that out..
A panel beater once told me that they calculate a damage as approx 500 eur per part changed so I think its cheap ….
If they are ripping you off not by much. You’re looking at anywhere between 350-550. Depending on where they take it.

They have to get two panels sanded and sprayed. I’m in Ireland and that would be a cheap price here. Not sure about Malta
