Closing loopholes for wealthiest among us seems like a popular and politically easy to do idea. Why not get it done?
Are our politicos really that bought and paid for? Perhaps they are. I tend to think not, but stuff like this strongly suggests otherwise.

This isn’t true. Options or stock grants are taxed as normal income. Options are not capital gains.
They’re also being disingenuous by claiming Canada has no inheritance tax, when actually the estate is fully taxed on all unrealized gains on death before disbursement to the estate.
