I never realized an unelected mayoral candidate controls the House of Representatives.
How is a ~~city councilman~~ state assemblyman in any way responsible for a government shutdown? They will just be unserious and say something stupid like “Your mom.” I loathe these people and I hope this nation will be able to survive them.

I wish Mamdani was in more control of even one branch of the government but that would be the GOP currently holding all three. The government could open as soon as the Republicans back of the ACA but that would also mean a new Democrat in Congress and enough to release the Epstein files.
