We are getting screwed from every angle.
This is absolutely disgusting.
Dynamic pricing at its worst. People out trying to get to work because the transport infrastructure is abysmal in Ireland and paying through their teeth on parking, fuel and now increased tolls.
This is the type of shit we should be protesting about. People need to change their optics, and very quickly.

Id be okay with paying it in general it if they had tolls on all exits. But having it in the middle just shafts load of people and they pay the price. It’s free of you come off and on it at the right places causing havoc all around the roll area
I feel bad for people who travel from a place like navan who have to pay two or even three tolls to get to Dublin

Drive from Faro to Lagos in Portugal – motorway all the way, used to be about 10 tolls if not more. All removed this year as the road was paid for… Imagine that
To be fair, I feel it’s only right I pay more for the M50 considering the amount of time I spend stuck on it.
The northsider tax… the m50 should really have small tolls all along rather than screwing anyone who wants to cross the Liffey.

Fair play to all the motorists who saw this price increase coming over the past few years and have staged a go slow protest on the M50 every morning between 7 and 9 and every evening between 4 and 7.
so I can’t get public transport to my job because it is utter shite and I get punished for having to have a car and drive there

Oh right so they can increase Toll Rates to follow the Inflation rate, but they can’t increase the Tax band’s.

Absolutely appalling, these scumbags in office are laughing at us filling their pockets. Just for clarification; they want us using public transport but the infrastructure is wholly inadequate; those of us who can afford homes are located in the literal commuter belts and now they are going to punish us further by increasing the cost of commuting. Where is the fecking logic lads? Make this make sense
Lads, we need to protest this, enough is enough. One thought is that we boycott the toll roads purposely, ensuring all other routes are completely blocked with traffic. Once kids start showing up late for schools constantly and adults are constantly late for work, then we will have the Department of Education and private enterprises (who the government ACTUALLY cares about and will listen to) on our side advocating for change. Not to mention construction grinding to a halt and costs skyrocketing for the builders
If the roads have been paid back long ago, why are we still paying for them, nevermind price increase?
How about spreading the toll and its charges out along the M50 instead of hitting people in Dublin 15 that want to go 10 mins to Lucan.

Why don’t we get a petition going to either get rid of the toll or make the entire M50 tolled, so one pays toll as soon as they join the M50. Or heck they should even move the toll point every year, blanch, then lucan, then sandyford and so on.
