      1000 shares of Nvidia bought in 2005 would have cost $280. Since then, the stock has split 5 times and would be worth $6.5 million today

      there is no way DOE has „booked“ half a trillion dollars in chip orders. Theres no way Nvida could possibly take any such commitments seriously lacking a congressional appropriation.

      smells like more juicing the stock price, possibly with fraud.

      Bookings are just ‚orders to be fulfilled in the next X date‘. They are not revenue, they are not invoiced value, and they are certainly not immediate cash flows. It’s like a pre-order and it is likely to be contracted in such a way that the govt will pay Nvidia when it requires the equipment/ services over time. Source: bean counter in the tech industry.

      Wasn’t Trump demanding Japan invest $550 billion in America… and now America is giving NVidia $500 billion… I am sure its not linked at all.

      Does seem that Trump will do a lot to prop up AI which itself is propping up the entire US economy and market.
