So if anyone is reading this and wondering well I wonder if it would be useful to have a 4k monitor or should I go above that the experimental design used a 4k monitor to measure the maximum PPD so just give that a thought. The interesting thing about this experiment is they didn’t measure just the eye in general but specific elements of the eye and the resolution of those. And as well the arc of vision and how the peripheral interacts with the central vision for resolution. So all of these elements together would have an effect on the amount of processing power required to generate real life vision. Meaning that you could reduce processing power at resolution at further distances but they calculate this scientifically not just in general. That’s my Layman’s take on the reading.
