Judging by the way he’s rapidly deteriorating, I don’t think he’s going to get there. Also the next Democratic president needs to tear that shit down.

You don’t build a 90,000 sq ft ballroom unless you’re planning another season of The Apprentice: Oval Office Edition.

    3. Jester-Kat-Kire on

If Trump is building a big ball room, then it’s important that we all decide to use the initiative for the benefit of America as a whole.

      – > you build a bigger ballroom so you can host more people.

Who are these people? It’s Americans of course!

Trump understands that our congress, the main house of the people, is TOO SMALL.

For a nation of 350 million people, we only have 535 seats to represent all of us… That’s 435 house seats, and 100 Senate seats

Back in 1911, the house and Senate were frozen at 435 seats for the house, and 100 seats for the Senate.

As congress is the holder of America’s purse, if Trump is thinking that its important to make a ballroom addition to America’s guest house… Than Trump will say **absolutely shit** when congress decises to also upgrade the **main house** of Congress with some more room to house more Americans.

If you don’t think your being represented, that your vote matters less and less, it’s because it’s true. We need 1500- 2000 house seats…And 300-400 Senate seats.

We get that, America is back in tune, back in action.

**Expand the house, expand sufferage, expand representation**… For the rights of the people, and the rights of the states, we need more seats for our best and brightest to sit at the table.

    4. It’s a monument to his legacy. He needs a physical building with his name on it and because he’s so broken it has to dwarf the White House. Tear it down indeed.

    5. Like it or not, 2026 could be like this: 1) Use of the Insurrection Act; 2) Martial law (for those who don’t know, it doesn’t require congressional approval); 3) Militarization of conservative and dissident Republican states; 4) Suspicious deaths among politicians and judges (heart attacks, car accidents, home invasions, etc.), especially in those states where the governor can appoint a temporary replacement; 5) Electoral corruption; 6) Permanent takeover of the Supreme Court, the House of Representatives, and the Senate (see point 4); 7) Constitutional amendments.

The date Donald Trump made it clear to anyone willing to pay attention and apply the slightest bit of critical thinking that he has ZERO intention of leaving power willingly.

He’s leaving in cuffs or a bag.

Exactly, you don’t create a welfare package to be used by poor people if you’re rich.

    8. Serpentongue on

You build it so you have a Napoleon style mausoleum ready because your last 2 Walter Reed visits told you you’re not gonna make it till the next election.

    9. He’s the kind of guy to plant a tree to provide shade for him alone and have it chopped down after he passes

    10. KinkyPaddling on

Well, that and Trump and all of his inner have been talking about how he deserves a third term.

    11. Well no that is true, OTOH though a $200M bunker is just the kind of thing you might want in the near future if you were planning such an event as say, a disputed election resulting in a constitutional crisis.

    12. Dude can’t even slow walk in front of a ceremonial line up of soldiers. He is lucky if he can finish his term.

    13. I hate to rain on everyone’s parade, but his dad lived to like 100 with dementia. I’m thinking slightly warmer Weekend At Bernie’s situation. 🥴

    14. MidnightOakCorps on

I’ll never forgive Stewart for the Centrist Sanewashing he did on Trump during the election.
I’m still so deeply disappointed in him.

    15. I understand the sentiment but I disagree. I think he is dying, he knows he’s dying, and he scrambling to be remembered better than Obama

    16. PaddlefootCanada on

He knows that, whoever is next, they won’t go through the waste of tearing it down… so he’s hopeful that it will last and have his name on it.

    17. Was a thought of mine too but then Trump has AADD with dementia so not that easy to decipher his scattered thoughts. I mean, we could go to war with Russia tomorrow if Trump burns his mouth eating his borscht.

    18. crankthehandle on

I don’t know, he only does this to leave his mark. Wants the biggest building on the compound and give it his name. He does not care about any balls happening in there

    19. CommunalJellyRoll on

Why are all the big names in politics, news, pop culture 2 years behind voters? We all knew this screamed it and these assholes called us crazy.

    20. Shit, if a billionaire reality show rapist conman can be president, maybe a nobody like me can too. Thinking I might run in 2038 and I’ll change the name of the ballroom to memorialize a civil rights leader, purely out of spite

    21. appollocreedjigclown on

Every time they bring up 2028, the response should be:  “2028? He shouldn’t be buying green bananas!

    22. Ive been saying this since he first talked about the stupid thing. the POS is NOT planning on leaving in 3 years

    23. shibbyman342 on

This, along with the monument and the constant health concerns, just seems like a mark he is trying to leave behind to ‚remember‘ him. I don’t think he really cares what majority of us feel about any of it, but IMO, he is just trying to get his name etched in every thing possible.

Legacy means so much to these guys – and he doesn’t care what his name will represent when he is gone.

    24. doctor_lobo on

He’s not planning to serve a third term – he is planning to get rid of terms and “serve” forever.

    25. Made_Human_Music on

If Trump can run for a third term then Obama should run against him

But I’m sure whatever bullshit they’re planning has some kind of plan to make sure only Dear Leader is able to run for a third term

    26. Apprehensive-Care20z on

I seriously doubt the poorly thought out project would be finished by the end of his third term.

      He’ll need a fourth term.
