      >The reviews focused on the owner’s alleged malicious behavior and even included accusations of discrimination toward [Chinese](https://www.boredpanda.com/australian-tv-star-faces-capital-punishment-after-caught-with-illegal-substances-china-airport/) customers.

      >Another claimed that the manager seemed “extremely enthusiastic” when they dined at the restaurant with [Japanese](https://www.boredpanda.com/japanese-boxing-star-28-passes-away-of-brain-injury-days-after-title-fight/) friends, but his attitude changed drastically when he heard them speaking Chinese.

hmm if the guy gonna be like that. why don’t put up a sign with big „no chinese allowed“ on the front ?

      >She said she visited the restaurant with a friend, but the owner greeted them disrespectfully at the door. The owner reportedly told them, “Summer is over. You don’t need to come out naked any more.”

      >Despite the rude comment, the tourists decided to go ahead with their plan and dine at the restaurant.

this one though… i’d rather go find other place to eat if the owner show a clear sign of hostility. who know what he gonna put in the food ?

Well, the thing is crop tops are considered nearly underwear in this country.

This is childish of me, I know, and probably not helpful so I will definitely grow up and make myself stop…. I hope… at some point soon. But I watched Chinese dramas and played Chinese drama soundtracks a tiny bit too loudly with the windows open this summer. Racist neighbors aren’t shy about talking outside my house about their opinions, and anti Chinese sentiment is mostly what they say. So screw them.

They probably did something to aggravate the owner before he decided to kick them out. Loud? Not well mannered? Prob fed up w tourists not knowing Japanese culture.

This does indeed sound like just an excuse to discriminate, and very petty too. Edit: Read the article in full. This seems to be just the tip of a very obvious discriminatory iceberg, screw this guy.

Same as anywhere else; bunch of bitter old people trying to drag young people to repeat the past when they just want to have a good time.

      So tired of these boomers.

    7. Not too different from the attire Japanese girls wear in the summer, in fact it is the same…

    8. Not condoning this behavior but it’s a private business and they can serve and not serve whoever they want. We don’t know the full story, I’m sure there were Japanese people who were kicked out too.. does that mean he is anti-Japanese?

    9. This is my go to Thai spot, living near sannomiya. Happy to see less „influencer“ and „blogger“ types from China here. Honestly this place used to be a local hangout and somehow got some spotlight in China media and surge of crap tourists happened. So I get the guys disgust for lack of respect and attitude these tourist show ( which of course this article doesn’t talk about.)
