      Anyone that has elderly relatives regardless of party should clearly be able to see that Trump is in cognitive decline.

      Him wandering around aimlessly at that ceremony in Japan was hard to watch and clearly showed him confused and overwhelmed to the point he needed to be guided around.

      If Biden would have had a day like that the media would harp on it for weeks, But not so much as a word from them on him

      Maybe this is difficult to see from a US point of view, but from outside this administration has been all Kayfabe from the beginning. Trump’s a political wrestling heel and that’s been his appeal from the start, so it doesn’t really matter if he can’t sit still without dribbling – he’s not in charge anymore. That’s why they’re keeping him occupied with this ridiculous ballroom: the only thing he really knows is property and building (at a rudimentary level) so that’s going to be the last thing that fades.

      I used to be an activities coordinator in a memory care center. I truly believe that what we are seeing is a very public case of elder abuse directed at a powerful person that has always been hate filled and now has no filter. It’s easy to brush off because the guy has been an awful person but many of our elders are morally abhorrent people… that doesn’t mean any of them should be abused and or used as pawns.

      He is getting on and his father had Alzheimers.

      He is obese and has a very poor diet. His only exercise appears to involve driving around golf courses and yelling.

      I am quietly confident that his examination can only have delivered bad news.

      We are now forced to watch his deterioration play out to its conclusion ,
      one way or another , over years or perhaps only months.

      Who cares about his health results? He’s never been fit to lead a country, that should be obvious to everyone.

      I’ve never ordered an MRI for anyone who did better than a 25 out of 30 on the MOCA, as part of a dementia workup.

      This current president is at the stage where they need to have a health care proxy and a goals of care discussion with their family, as they are not likely to have capacity to make these decisions in the near term.

      Given the poor state of Trump’s evident progressive loss of cognitive functioning and his emotional dysregulation it would only require a few senior people to grow a spine and challenge him on any issue. His whole facade is held together with sticky tape and is ready to blow. Perhaps Vance is just biding his time until the proverbial hits the fan, but I think the MAGA mob will probably implode without Trump.
