Eine vom Nikkei Shimbun und TV Tokyo vom 24. bis 26. Oktober durchgeführte öffentliche Meinungsumfrage ergab, dass die LDP mit der Demokratischen Partei für das Volk (DPP) und Sanseito um Unterstützung in der arbeitenden Generation konkurriert. Die hohe Zustimmungsrate des Kabinetts Takaichi Sanae beeinflusste auch die Zustimmungsrate der LDP. Es scheint, dass einige Anhänger der DPP und Sanseitos zur LDP gewechselt sind.

The Sanseito was an election time novelty further perpetuated by foreign media. Now that Japan has something different (a female PM), the voters are satisfied.

If the PM stumbles or doesn’t lean far enough right, then they will see their support return.
They are swing voters who are satisfied for now but will go back to the other parties after Sanae welcomes a record high number of tourists and „trainees“ while killing purchasing power for the average Japanese.
