Yeah it’s just dumb. The couple percentage points the PPC got at their height in 2021 cost the CPC a few seats but it definitely didn’t make the difference between forming government and losing.
Better to appeal to LPC-CPC switchers and the working class voters than the nutjobs who make up the PPC base.

I voted Conservative when O’Toole was the leader.
I find his trajectory baffling. He clearly wants to cement support with the large MAGA friendly minority in his party, but the vast middle of the country is revolted by it.
The rest of the country is a distant second place consideration at this point. Nothing else matters if he loses the upcoming leadership review. He’d rather be leader of the opposition than former leader of the ruling party.
