Imo, launch definitely makes sense for private industry to take over. Personally, I think if something has room for innovation, has a financial incentive to get better, and people can theoretically live without, it’s probably best for it to be privatised. I still think NASA should be around for building satellites and conducting studies, anyone who thinks that just because private launch companies exist NASA should be abolished doesn’t know what NASA does, but there are just better, more versatile launch options than NASA now.
