The whole thought of achieving unconditional love is such a warm, comforting feeling, isn’t it?

I think it’s important to recognize, however, that you need to unconditionally love yourself first before you can unconditionally love any other person.

Unconditionally loving another does not mean you need to accept or tolerate everything that individual does, and sometimes unconditionally loving someone means loving them from afar.

From what I have read elsewhere, Barry Diller openly has sexual relationships with other men.

If so, this would appear to be more of a case of denial (even though she is consciously aware) and lack of love for herself on Diane’s part.

This is not „unconditional love“ in my opinion …  it is actually, quite the opposite.

It is an utter disregard for one’s own physical, sexual, and emotional health …  one’s overall well-being … and that is quite tragic, indeed.
