      Money was never the problem. Political will and strategy is where Germany seriously lacks.

      Even more pressing than the availability of military gear is the cultural shift away from ultra-pacifism driven by Nazi guilt to a moderate pacifist consensus where Germans would at least fight to defend themselves and their allies if NATO was being attacked. Leopard 2s with no one willing to man them are just expensive paper weights.

      Good for Germany

      Obviously this is a wish list but it’s obvious that Germany and Poland (plus other) are highly aware that they could face 1/2 million Russian Soldiers mobilizing in their direction after Ukraine is concluded.

      All European nations should be aware that the have a role to play in our shared security. Even the ‘neutral’ ones.

      I read the article, and I got the impression that the listed purchases are no more than 20%-25% of the total amount specified.
      What will the rest be spent on?
