Weiß jemand, wofür dieses Wappen auf diesem Bierkrug steht? Ich versuche, die Geschichte dieses Kruges herauszufinden. Ich glaube, auf der Unterseite steht „Macht durch Einheit“. Ich glaube, das ist eine Art Schulklassenbecher. Google konnte den oberen Teil nicht übersetzen, oder ist es vielleicht ein Name? Vielen Dank im Voraus.

It is from a fraternity called „Obotritia“ in Berlin. They still exist. „WS“ on the inside propably means „Wintersemester“.
Why do you call this a „stein“ (stone)? It’s a glas jug.

Looks like Paul Bäder joined the fraternity in the winter semester of 1929/1930 and got this mug to commemorate it.
Dude, what a catch! It´s a personalized beer stein from a fraternity member. The coat of arms ist that of the Fraternity Obotritia Berlin. In the center, you can see a „Zirkel“, a monogram unique to the fraternity. On top you have the usual slogan typical for german fraternities. On the bottom you have the name of the owner. It says that the stein was awarded to him during a „Kneipe“ during the winter semester of 1929 to 1930. A „Kneipe“ is a traditional event of german fraternities (imagine very ritualised accompanied drinking). The fraternity is still active according to their website. I´m pretty sure they would be very glad to take it of your hands. Either way, this is a unique piece!
