      Probably the best strategy for the PLQ to follow right now. If I were him, I’d also lean into his background in federal politics, and try to tie the provincial brand as much as possible with the federal Liberal brand (as the LPC brand is currently stronger than the PLQ brand).

    3. I think this is the election to rebuild the Liberals as the head of the opposition/get their footing back rather than the election to stop the PQ. That election will likely be 2030. This election is mainly about the breakup of the CAQ and the realignment of federalists & sovereigntist voters to their traditional parties (Liberals & PQ etc.)

      All and all, not necciseraily disagreeing with Rodriguez here, just stating that it’ll probably be about 5 years until he has a chance to do what he’s talking about.
