      Hmm… but multiple major surgeries seem like they would have adverse effects long term.

    2. do you not have to be on mediciation for the rest of your life to reduce the chances of rejection?

      A transplant shortens life expectancy, unless it is to replace a failed organ. Even then, life expectancy is shorter than not having a failed organ. Transplant rejection drugs are some of the worst drugs around in terms of side-effects.

      No, transplants do not de-age people.

      People on powerful immunosuppression drugs whose body is slowly attacking itself are not going to live to 150.

      For this to work, I think you either need to be cloned, and harvest the clone, or find a way to re-program your immune system.

      The clone sounds easier (for dictators anyway) , but there’s a long lead time.
