    1. Why is it that no parties are campaigning on a promise to actually lower the prices by drastically raising interest rates (so as to kill the inflation and get back to a mild deflation)? Instead everyone keeps shouting for increased wages or some cash subsidies, which then reinforces a vicious circle. Prices rise, followed by calls for higher wages, then workers get a rise, then prices rise further to pay for all those wage rises, then there are calls for wage rises again, etc. A truly vicious circle.
