Ich weiß nicht, was mit mir los ist, aber heute habe ich beschlossen, alle meine Stater Brothers-Quittungen seit März 2024 einzuziehen.
Ich habe jeden Einkauf verfolgt: um welche Artikel es sich handelte, wann ich sie gekauft habe und wie viel ich dafür bezahlt habe. Anschließend habe ich alle Artikel in Hauptkategorien und Unterkategorien kategorisiert.
Hier sind die Datendiagramme für jede Kategorie und Unterkategorie. Die X-Achse stellt den Monat/das Jahr des Kaufs dar und die Y-Achse stellt die durchschnittlichen Kosten der Artikel in dieser Kategorie dar.
Jetzt habe ich überhaupt keine Ahnung, was ich mit Excel mache, also sieht das nicht besonders gut aus, aber ich fand die Daten interessant. Ich kenne mich auch in gewisser Weise mit der Analyse von Daten aus und fand die Ergebnisse einfach interessant.
Bemerkenswert ist, dass der September 2025 der einzige Zeitpunkt war, an dem fast alle Kategorien gleichzeitig zunahmen. Hat irgendjemand eine Idee, was zu diesem flächendeckenden Anstieg bei allen Waren auf einmal geführt hätte?

Am I missing something, or how is your “main categories” chart pricing so low? There’s no way you’re only spending like $35 in a month
Does it match federal data? I noticed my grocery deli meat went up 30% in the last month
How much selection bias do you think there is here? E.g. were there cases where you saw an item that was too expensive so you didn’t buy it?
So many data labels, you can’t read this clearly
I know this is just exploration but not sure if line graph is the best for this, personally it is too much information to track anything at all, may be a stacked bar chart
Did you track or account for shrinkflation where possible? Like if a bag of chips was $3.99 at 16oz, but then stayed at $3.99 but dropped to 14oz?
