Als Kind bin ich oft nach Deutschland gereist, aber seit der Trennung meiner Eltern hat mein Vater kein Geld dafür, weil er allein ist und meine Mutter nicht mehr dorthin will. Ich fahre für eine Woche nach Deutschland und möchte die düstere, mittelalterliche Fantasy-Atmosphäre erleben, die Deutschland ausstrahlte, als ich ein Kind war. In welche Region sollte ich reisen, um einige schöne Schlösser zu besichtigen und in waldreichen Gebieten wandern zu gehen?

I’m a huge fan of the Nationalpark Harz, there’s a number of trails you can do but I think the main one would be an easy one to follow. Not sure what type of hiker you are, but there’s the chance to book night by night in hotels as you go through towns, plus plenty of castles. Lots of info on the site:
