    1. It could have survived but the executives butchered and are now scrapping it out for a quick pay day.

      Nothing but greed destroyed WB.

Do any of these media companies ceos actually enjoy media and movies? I’m starting to wonder…

Does this mean the Animaniacs will have to move out of the water tower?

For me it’s sad on one level because there are so many Warner properties I absolutely love, but on another, I saw this coming a mile away years ago and a part of me feels a level of satisfaction not because I’m right but because I’m happy they’re eating shit for the horrible decisions they made over the last two and a half decades at the very least. Love seeing morons get their comeuppance.

Goodbye greedy bastards. I mean I’d be more happy about it if it weren’t for this nagging feeling that the new alternatives are going to be worse for us, but sure, good riddance.

Nobody weeps, we knew what would happen when Zaslav took over, we knew when he killed finished movies for quick cash and we know now.

It’s just like it is with Trump; everybody knew but didn’t act and now is acting surprised of what was never secret

I’m sure they will survive in some form to keep fucking over artists.

The fact they are falling says they didn’t sell out until they could do no more…they seem to be in the same ball game as us…think about it. Most companies are monopoly. Black rock, Amazon, Disney, Rockefeller ect. These companies own EVERYTHING. the money they get would be what they can. That also means they don’t see movies even mattering soon. That’s what comes to my mind.

    9. The company could last, they just want more money. They are not satisfied with the returns their product is getting now. More MBA grads only considering how to get the greatest return for their dollar. Not what they do for the community….

    10. The „same day streaming and theatrical“ was the fart of the century for Warner Bros.

Warners and Paramount had plans to merge way back in the day, but as I remember reading the Depression put a stop to that. Same thing with Fox buying out MGM. Maybe these sales and mergers were in the cards were inevitable with the rise of streaming and costs of production.

    12. By far the worst thing is that the Trump administration is actively muscling them to sell to Larry, I mean David Ellison, who seems to now own Tik Tok, and Paramount, and wants Warners too.

So with him owning these media companies and Musk owning Twitter we’re all fucked.

Old business being ran very poorly shouldn’t be expected to just stay relevant because it’s old.
