    1. We don’t know and never will know whether the people killed were criminals or not.

We do know, however, that the people who order these strikes are criminals

    2. A wonderful world we live in, where a couple of sick individuals can just kill whoever they want with no consequences at all. All the while the majority of us doesn’t care and those who do can’t do anything about it.

Humans truly are the sickness of this planet.

How did they know it was a Tren de Aragua vessel? Did they proudly sail their flag like pirates of the caribbean?

    4. metamodernbookclub on

The ICC needs to issue an arrest warrant for Hegseth immediately! These are crimes against humanity!

    5. supercyberlurker on

Bluntly, if a Trump-appointed head of agency says something – *safely assume it’s a lie.*

    6. If I owned a yacht, I’m avoiding the Caribbean like the plague. Just might get blown up while out on vacation

Remember when Republicans raged about extrajudicial killings because Obama bombed literal terrorists at a wedding?

    8. Elon_is_a_Nazi on

Damn. The Republican Terrorist, Nazi and Pedophile Party of America is killing people 1st and not even asking questions later. Amazing these terrorism murders are going unchecked in the international community. United States Terrorist organization needs stopped before they kill us all

These guys are just the dnd murderhobo party that somehow took over a country by murderhoboing. It’d be funny if it weren’t so goddamn awful

    10. Is this why we need a defense budget of over a trillion dollars a year? So we can bomb a few pontoon boats?

    11. I can’t wait until these thugs in the administration get held accountable for their actions and convicted of extrajudicial murder in international waters.

      Right? RIGHT??

    12. On this season of Deadliest Catch…….. “ The Northwestern is stuck in port after a drone strike ordered by Pete Hegseth“

    13. I’m not sure how Trump expects to get into heaven while murdering people.

    14. Remember when the u.s. would intercept and board potential drug smugglers instead of indiscriminately blowing up fishing vessels in international or foreign waters?

      Are we the baddies?

It feels like we are the baddies.

Idk about you. But I take pride in an America that defends the weak and stands up for human rights. It’s what made us special compared to all the other nations that achieved this level of power.

Everywhere you look in history, nations get powerful and steal what they can. America was different, we sacrificed our power to ensure a stable world. It’s something I’m extremely proud of my nation for having the maturity and awareness to prioritize a stable globe over a subservient one.

Idk if that pride will still exist after this admin.

    16. They are using the South Park „It’s coming right for us“ defense. Pretty sure that makes it legal. /s

    17. I’m just gonna say it, they’re blowing up boats because they don’t like illegal immigrants and want to deter anyone from going around their dumbass wall. They’re just using the drug thing to try to justify it, and it’s ambiguous enough that whenever it’s reported we all just shrug, at least that’s what they want everyone to do.

God damn – looks like sailing by the U.S. is worse than waters off the Somali coast.

    19. It is 1904 all over again. Gunboat diplomacy and threats of banana republics.

The United States is an unimaginative and uneducated pit, not completely wrong but never right, of self inflicted failure but never enough damage to learn from, of selfishness but not enough self awareness to reflect upon and improve, a waste of potential and always decrepit enough to not notice its own decline.

    20. AirportLoose3023 on

So murder. The US is just openly, and unequivocally murdering people now

      OK then

    21. ForeskinWhatskin on

Poking the bear. Waiting for a violent response to justify incursion. There’s another country who likes to do this a lot. Wonder where the U.S. got the idea 🤔

    22. astrozombie2012 on

I literally don’t fucking care if the people being targeted are cartel or not. The United States should not be carrying out extrajudicial killings.

    23. They are trying to normalize violence against suspected criminals before they try to normalize violence against innocents.

    24. Renegade_51 on

They will never have to answer for their crimes. In case you missed it, last year the Supreme Court ruled that the president has absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions involving “core constitutional powers” such as commanding the military to carry out strikes for the “war on drugs.” This immunity has bled into every facet of our democracy and has created a king. This is largely why the GOP has kowtowed to Trump because everything he is doing is legal by the definition of the law.

I’m afraid this ruling has been largely lost on the majority of the citizens. The noose has been strung and democracy is on the gallows.

    25. Lonely-Abalone-5104 on

If I know Trump is probably just looking for some bribe money from the cartels

    26. „See, we are trying to get rid of the drug traffickers!“. This shouldn’t be an announcement from a cabinet minister. What, some random Pentagon spokesman wasn’t available?

    27. Jimmyjamz73 on

How many people have to die for us to stop asking about the Epstein files?

    28. Just murdering random people in the Gulf of Mexico. „Oh look a boat with brown people, they must have drugs!“

    29. America should probably be having those No Kings protests every weekend at this point.

The US just docked two of its ships in Trinidad and are bringing troops ashore to train in the terrain with local ttdf (Trini army). Trinidad is a 15 mins boat ride to Venezuela, seems the us are getting close.

I can’t wait to see the report that drug deaths in the USA haven’t dropped at all💀
