The genocide of the Albanians in Kosova, Shqiperia and Ilirida (1912-1913), where up to 120.000 Albanians were killed, was documented almost by whole Europe, by the USA, and even by Russians like Leon Trotsky. In his article „Behind the Curtain Edge“, published in Kievskaya Mysl, he included quotes from an eyewitness account of atrocities committed by the Serbian army. Even Serbs wrote about their atrocities against the Albanians. Kosta Novakovic for example also claimed that 120,000 Albanians (of all ages and gender) were killed by Serbia. For Dragisa Lapõevié a special concern was the liberation of the Albanian people from the Serbian colonialist yoke. Dimitrije Tucovic was among other things a soldier of the Serbian Army and also documented the terrible massacres against the Albanians. Not to forget are the works of Leon Freundlich, Edith Durham and so on. Of course, the crimes committed by the Greeks against the Albanians in southern Albania & Çamëria must not be forgotten!
