Its a major hit for those companies, essentially bleeding from both ends .
This does indicate a weakness, there would be no negotions if Trump didnt feel like a improvement would benefit them and he would react like this if there wasn’t consequences of say a major auto industry going bankrupt or needing to be bailed out by federal government.
Sucks though , more pain , less gain towards diversication.. fock Trump but this isnt best scenario for Canadians .

His free trade policies were something trumpeted by Stephen Moore, who is current also one of Donald Trump’s economic advisors.
