Probably not quite accurate. MT is far enough North for the projection of the map to be highly exaggerated longitudinally. Interesting though, and Montana is a wide state.

When you are in extreme NW Florida (west of Walnut Hill, FL), you are closer to Chicago than to the southernmost point of Key West , FL.
