Those Russian MFs really need to be humbled. Those jets should have been shot down the moment they crossed Lithuanias airspace.

Man, I really would love to hear the mental gymnastics involved in arguing against immediately engaging any unidentified aircraft, drone, or weather balloon that breaches their airspace.

> Two Russian military aircraft entered NATO member Lithuania’s airspace on Thursday for about 18 seconds, Lithuania’s military said.
Okay, that sounds at least *a lot* better than the 12 minutes a couple of weeks ago. Hope the reaction time of the fighters send to escort them out was good to show Russia that another uninvited extended stay will not end well for them.
Waiting for a report like:
*-Russian military aircraft crashed while accidentally crossing drone competition event in neighboring country-*

If NATO shoots down just one, the Russians will stop this.

They should briefly come into contact with some missiles

Looks like Erdogan is the only one with balls in NATO. I wonder why this is not happening in Turkey.

They will continue like usual until NATO shoots one down

Can someone explain how 18 seconds isn’t a margin of error given airspace is literally space in the air ?

I mean, if you keep letting them push the boundaries with no consequence what incentive is there to stop? Paper tigers really running the show lately…

18 seconds. Pretty much how much I last.

You should barely shoot them down then.

The military said that a SU-30 fighter jet and an IL-78 aerial refueling aircraft, apparently conducting refueling training over the Kaliningrad region, entered about 700 meters into Lithuanian territory and stayed for roughly 18 seconds before leaving.

This is hilarious. It seems declarations said few weeks ago, as usual in Europe, were just empty words.
