I’ll absolutely take the tinfolier badge for this one but its interesting to see a refueling aircraft used for one of these incursions.
Its even more interesting when Russia has telegraphed „rumours“ of a plan to shoot down a transport aircraft by supposedly western forces over Kaliningrad about three weeks ago.
Not the same but similar airframes.

interesting timing, as this was done just as our minister of defense was ‚laid off‘ yesterday/today.

NATO once again confirmed to the Russians that they won’t be shot down. So, all the talks and meetings at the NATO level over the past few weeks brought nothing new, as usual.

Start violating Russia’s airspace.

The are reconnaissance missions. How fast can they react? How effective are their defenses? Sometimes not responding is a good strategy to hide capabilities.

Don’t shoot and violate their airspace in turn
Shoot em down and the violate their airspace in turn
Doing something is better than doing nothing

To all of those saying shoot it down, they were in the airspace for 18 seconds. There was not even enough time to contemplate shooting them down. This area is full of gps jamming thanks to Kaliningrad, this one reads much more like incompetence during a refueling exercise than a deliberate provocation.

Russian drones crashing in Lithuania, Russian Jets violating airspace in Estonia and Lithuania.
Russian provocations testing the reaction of NATO which has been nothing but empty words.

Need to start closing the Minsk-Kaliningrad railway passage that goes through Lithuanian territory for as many days as seconds the airplane violates the airspace. 18 days without land connection will make them more careful next time.

They keep sticking their stick at NAZO until their sticks will get sticky

Someone buy the Ruskey pilots some maps pronto (GPS would be too expensive)

Russia is so desperate, they try to provoke another war for whatever reason
