I find it very hard to believe this number is not much higher. Just from some local commenters I would think the number is too low and I live in a primarily Red area.

„24 percent said they are unsure.“

America is burning but I’m kinda okay with it.

What the heck is wrong with 47% of the population?!!

Only 24 percent approved and another 24 percent are unsure.  

So that makes more sense. 24 percent approved, which is about the number Trump would receive for turning the keys to our nuclear codes over to Russia, so that tracks. 

It also happens to be the same 24 percent of Republicans who have lost cognition in their brains. 

No no, it’s privately funded. Trump is going to pay for it out of his own pocket using the hundreds of millions of dollars that he is making the DOJ pay him. Totally legit and will be approved by the top officials in the department who just happen to be the lawyers from Trump’s legal defense team. What’s the big deal?

The very same people who cried and wailed about removing monuments applaud the literal destruction of America’s most sacred monument. 

It’s almost as if they’ve been completely disingenuous this whole time. I’m starting to think THEY’RE ALL TOTAL HYPOCRITES. 

People’s opinions don’t matter anymore. US is not a democracy right now.

The only response I’ve heard from conservatives I know personally is „why are Dems pretending they care about the building CLINTON GOT A BJ!!!!!“

Next on the demo list is the Lincoln Memorial, it needs to be removed so Trump can build the Trump Shrine, and after that the Jefferson Memorial needs some major renovations.

I understand why people are mad about this, but before we lose 9 days of our lives comparing Democrat and Republican expenditures on White House improvements, let’s remember *just how many things the administration is trying to distract from* right now:

• **Government Shutdown** – Republicans blame Democrats. Democrats blame Republicans. Some Americans blame both sides for not being able to come to terms, regardless of which side they might agree with on this issue or that. Both sides also have some kind of fantasy that the world revolves around Donald Trump so therefore *only he* could possibly figure out how to open things up and stop the stall tactics. Regardless, a lot of damage is being done right now.

• **DHS/ICE** – for the hard-liners, they are not even being brutal enough or deporting enough people, for those who wanted mass deportations, they are being too brutal and there **is** backlash about that, for people who were against it to begin with they are now mobilizing all over confronting ICE directly as well as participating in more broad displays like No Kings, and for those who were adamantly opposed to ICE in the first place they are being vindicated.

• **Tariffs** – those who supported it are desperate for Trump to at least be consistent, but during the last 9 months it was revealed that many countries literally refused to respond to Bessent and other members of the administration making their „negotiations“ nonexistent. Those businesses who relied on imports have had to deal with near-daily changes at customs, though it is unclear (from a lack of reporting) whether or not those changes were actually happening on the ground or if they are more part of a bluster campaign from the President.

• **Israel/Palestine** – though many began calling Biden „Genocide Joe,“ and there is a lot to be said about his poor command of the military, Trump/Netanyahu declared openly and repeatedly their desire to not only ethnically cleanse the region but *build condominiums* on the rubble. Throughout this horror show, they conducted what can only be thought of now as „The Two Weeks War“ with Iran (which is not over by any stretch of the imagination) – which endangered our troops – for the private benefit of Trump and his friends.

• **Armenia and Azerbaijan** – though it has not gotten much attention due to the other conflicts here, a very similar construct is being made to build some kind of corridor that Iranian officials have said will be the site of (quoting) „a graveyard“ for „Trump’s mercenaries,“ signaling disapproval of the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (a Witkoff cutout) and their phony aid-sites turned firing squad.

• **Ukraine/Russia** – what seemed at first to be a typical story about Trump corruption with his „friend“ (since I do not believe anybody is ever Donald John Trump’s *friend* let’s be honest) Putin, has become an epic tale of why hiring your friends to be fake diplomats like Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner is a terrible and murderous idea.

• **Epstein** – though I believe it is a wild goose chase given the morons they have leading the charge on this in both parties, it is still undoubtably a more important story than the East Wing of the White House getting a messy facelift.

• **Domestic Armed Forces** – without even detailing the individual encounters here, or debating the merits or legality of any deployment, we can **all** agree something is *massively fucked up* here. Even for the hardcore MAGA true-believers, at some point how can you not even see that Trump is **bad. at. this.** Do any Republicans ever wonder to themselves, even if (they believe) Democrats are hysterical woke brainwashed trans-loving illegal-alien-harboring terrorists…maybe getting rid of Trump would make everybody happier even if another Republican took his place?

• **Military Parade and Inappropriate Political Rallies** – Thankfully the military leaders have made it as clear as they possibly can without a kinetic mutiny, they do *not* respect this commander in chief. His stupid birthday event has a humiliatingly low turnout, sloppy marches, and was sponsored…by…crypto.

**• Cryptocurrency Scams** – $TRUMP coin, $MELANIA coin, both launched *before he got in office* and contrary to mainstream coverage, not necessarily a vehicle to fleece poor people so much as it was an insider con job to destroy the value of the dollar and centralize control under the Trump family. This is perhaps the worst thing for all Americans, since it leads eventually to something much more king-like where not only does he have his face on physical money (which nobody uses, let’s be very honest) but rather he is infecting all monetary payment terminals on Earth until the Trump family is basically a global central bank.

While I might be missing some things, this is a fairly exhaustive list.

With all of that being said, I will reiterate: who gives a fuck about the fucking East Wing.

Hes literally destroying a part of our historical building to put up a gold plated ballroom and barely half of adults even care. We are so cooked as a society.

These surveys and headlines are basically pointless. They are going to sit in power doing incredibly unpopular things with no repercussions. So why ask if we approve or not

I always wonder where they get this data because I’ve never been asked to participate in any of these polls.

Republicans are going to let Trump destroy everything about this country just because they enjoy that he upsets the liberals.
