    1. Guess we’ll see what comes of it.

I suspect though that a whole lot of normal fan accounts are going get accused of being brokers. Then TM will say, „Gee whiz, we really tried to crack down but it ended up hurting fans.“

Sure they will. It’s not like this has been going on for decades, and they’ve completely ignored it.

    3. There is a solution to scalpers: do not allow to resell tickets for more than they bought them. And also share the accounts of resellers with CRA (IRS) to make sure they de lare their gains.

But Ticketmaster would never do that, because they benefit $$$$ from reselling.

    4. Could have started like ten years ago, we will see if they actually do anything. Doubtful.

Yeah, they’re totally going to crack down on their ticket resale income. Aaaaaaaannnny day now…

They should just get rid of dynamic pricing and only let people list the ticket at sticker price

    7. Do they? Is this because they themselves want the resale value or because they’ve had a change of heart? Or because Stubhub also went public so they have direct competition for resellers?

    8. “Only WE are allowed to artificially inflate ticket prices, WE are the MASTERS of tickets.”

Buying up all the prime seats and then overcharging is their business model.  Why would they stop doing that?

Too little. Too late. Ticket master and Live Nation are monopolies and need to be broken up.

    11. They’ll tackle this right after they start giving a shit, which is going to be never.
