    4) „90 Millionen statt 35 Millionen Dollar.“ Hintergrundschauspieler erhalten etwa 100 US-Dollar pro Tag.

You need to understand OP, What he says is not stupid, it is just said for the love of profits, at no point he thinks extras are human beings with their own lives and needs, they are just extra cost that needs to be eliminated.

And people like him think similar things at every level on any industry.

This guy sucks and Safdie sucks for putting him in his movie.

Even before this take, he sucked for being the shittiest shark on Shark Tank.

Even before Shark Tank, he sucked for being a greedy, crude venture capitalist.

Imagine wanting this energy anywhere near your art.

I think the real question is why Canadian Donald Trump is even in a movie (let alone a movie that would actually look good without him) at all?

When I saw this fucker appear in the trailer I decided to never see the movie.

The elderly continue their never ending mission to destroy the world by trying to stay relevant.

Possibly the biggest piece of shit Canada has ever produced. My buddies living in Canada have all said O’Leary is universally hated and practically a pariah.

I think we could easily replace anything Kevin O’Leary does with AI.

Worth a read for the haters (including me!) because it shows off how ignorant he is yet eager to invest – a fish, if you will.

I’m gonna go ahead and assume that Mr. O’Leary has some stock in AI and wants to push it. A capitalist is never actually concerned with saving money, they’re concerned with supply/demand.

Kevin O’leary: “why am I in this movie when a silent AI agent would’ve done much better acting!?”

It doesn’t just hurt extras but VFX artists as well sometimes they would be tasked with creating digital extras in the background or with large scenes. Peter Jackson didn’t have ten thousand extras for the LotR battles

Background actors are the cheapest part of most productions. (Though not as cheap as OP says) Does that mean producers don’t want to replace them with something cheaper literally every chance that get? Of course not. AI is definitely coming for background actors and it sucks.

He’s a POS who clearly believes that his wealth makes him a genius authority on any subject. I loathe his stupid face.

He’s an idiot. You hire extras, who are real people and then if you want to save money and you have a big scene you can use technology to make it look like a bigger crowd. I remember when I was an extra for Bradley Cooper’s Maestro and they had a small crowd be filmed in Carnegie Hall and then had us sit in several different places at once. Better than having soulless AI fake people in your movies. If I knew someone was doing that, I’m not watching your movie and I know I’m not the only one.

Ah yes, let’s take more money away from working people to maximize shareholder returns. I am sure that continuing to find ways to pay the working class less, or nothing at all, is a long term win for the economy.

    16. BG are the cheapest thing to get. It’s more expensive for a VFX house to add the bokeh or Unreal characters then pay someone to do a cross

    17. They should edit him out for this, honestly what a fucking joke of a statement.

Cinema is art, fuck the budget.
