I love how certain grievance reactionaries act like this wasn’t the case.
Not everything is run as carefully as a Trump administration /s.
Anything that upsets bigots is the right decision. They should never feel comfortable, never feel that the world is the way they want it. There should always be unhappiness and stress in their lives.
I have new respect for NFL leadership for picking an artist that they knew would offend maga after the complaints about last year’s half time show. We need more institutions that do not bend to Trump’s will.
I do not like his music, but I hardly ever like the halftime show music. I don’t understand his lyrics, but I also don’t understand any of the anime opening themes I have saved to my playlists.
I like that they picked him because it’s gonna piss off a bunch of people in red hats and that fills me with joy.

This is such a made up *controversy*. Who genuinely believes that >5% of retrumplicans had ever even heard of Bad Bunny prior to this announcement? They just heard “rap”, saw brown skin, and went straight to default mode
To be honest, I miss the days when the SB halftime show were legends. Not today’s hottest acts. They used to have performers like Prince, MJ, Eagles, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Phil Collins, Motown Tribute, Aerosmith and so many more. Like literally legends that you never got a chance to see live.
I mean, he’s a huge global superstar in music, film, and even wrestling. It’s not shocking that they’d pick him.
Mind you, he’s also an American citizen.
Conservatives weren’t mad that Rihanna ([who is not a US citizen](https://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-45609656) and [openly criticized Trump](https://www.huffpost.com/entry/rihanna-donald-trump-message-wall_n_5f37b291c5b6959911e50284) multiple times and [sent him a cease and desist for using her music at his rallies](https://apnews.com/article/entertainment-donald-trump-music-rihanna-a3ffbddd80bc0cda999e9ed5878af26b)) did the show a couple of years ago. So it’s almost like they’re just mad because he performs songs only in Spanish.
