It’s not even finished. They’ve been “working” on this for years. There’s a sign that goes through my home town that says: future I69 corridor. Been there most, if not all of my life.

Definition of a low effort post. The only lower effort would have been a Google Maps screenshot

    3. Some quick fact-checking on Google Maps:

      * The northern end of I-69 is the Blue Water Bridge in Sarnia. The southern end is Matamoros. The fastest driving route between those two points is currently 2,778 km and takes 27 hours. As the crow flies, the distance is 2,343 km.
      * The northern end of I-5 is in Blaine, WA. The southern end is Tijuana. The fastest driving route between those two points is currently 2,231 km and takes 23 hours. As the crow flies, the distance is 1,891 km.

So… Even when I-69 is completed (if that ever happens), the most direct route will certainly still be I-5, by quite a margin. There’s a small chance that I-69 will take less time by circumventing most major cities, but I’m not holding my breath.

Am I surprised it licks the armpit of America known as Arkansas? No. I am not surprised.

Yeah, if you don’t mind going from the sucky part of Canada to the sucky part of Mexico

In the Houston area god forbid you even ask how to get to I-69. „Do you mean 59?“

This is just dumb. Never mind that I-69 is under construction. It is still almost 1700 miles. I-5 from Tijuana to Vancouver is about 1400 miles.

Agree. Looks like the fastest way to get pulled over by ICE and put on a plane to make it quicker.

False, flying would be the fastest route. This may be the shortest land distance but by the sounds of it the interstate isn’t even complete in most places.

Tijuana to Coutts, Alberta is 21 hours and 5 minutes, fastest ive found just from checking google maps options which is pretty much entirely I- 15

    11. Here it shows it ending in what is supposed to be Pharr, TX but it’s supposed to extend from my hometown, Laredo, along the border, into Pharr. The signage is there but not a lot of progress has been made on anything else.
