      It’s still quite segragated, except for what appears to be the downtown area. Is this common in American cities?

      As someone who grew up in south Philadelphia… that looks about right.

      South Philadelphia remains much whiter than I thought it would be in 2025. You can how once solidly blue working class NE Philly is increasingly a melange of different ethnicities.

    5. So I’m guessing this is by census tract (or some other admin area) and not literally individual people. As in, each tract has the correct number of dots, but they’re scattered randomly within that tract, as opposed to literally where each individual person lives.

      That explains the very borders between squareish areas, as well as things like the map showing people living in cemeteries.
