Notice you get 18% of your daily calorie needs but only burn 8.1% of your dietary carbon allowance.

This is a terrible example to scaremonger with because you could literally eat 2x your daily calorie needs and still be under your dietary carbon limit.

Like, *even if this was the plan you can still eat shitty packaged sandwiches to your hearts content*

    2. Suggesting there’s such a thing as a „daily dietary carbon allowance“ is wild and infuriating.. they made the packaging ffs. Companies started this crap in the 80s with the whole „do your part“ as a consumer to convince us we’re the problem and the solution.

    3. How much of that comes from packaging and delivery of something you used to be able to get fresh made?

SS: More and more facets of life are being calculated in terms of a carbon footprint. Carbon taxes have been talked about for a long time, enough data is being collected to calculate how many carbon credits each person needs to purchase.

    5. Chipotle has been doing this for years. And idk what country you are in but we don’t have citizen metrics like this in the US.

    6. Carbon enriches plant growth. The Greenhouse Effect is caused by The Glass Roof.

    7. No one is actually tracking this, they think it’s some kind of marketing tactic to cater to those who are “environmentally cautious”
