„This is an unauthorized use of my performance of ‘Danger Zone,’” Loggins said in a statement. “Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately.”
Trump shared the video (which appears to have originated on the Trump meme page @xerias_x) on his Truth Social page on Saturday, Oct. 18, in conjunction with the massive and peaceful nationwide protests. In it, “Danger Zone” plays as an AI version of Trump, wearing a crown and piloting a military fighter jet emblazoned with “King Trump,” dumps what sure looks like feces on protesters. (Loggins’ statement refers to it as “brown sludge.”)
Beyond the allegedly unauthorized use of “Danger Zone,” Loggins said of the video, “I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us.”

It looks like Trump took it to the limit. Is this the final countdown?

every time I think Trump can’t be more childish, this happens. He’s just a kindergartener playing with poop jokes. He couldn’t be less dignified if he walked around nude at this point, and looked exactly like how South Park depicts him. Which is apparently accurate according to Stormy Daniels.

I can’t wait for cholesterol to catch up. I’ve got a bottle of bourbon and champagne on standby

    6. After Trump and AI have their sleazy way with copyrighted works, you have to wonder why artists are bothering to pay BMI, ASCAP, etc. to protect their works from theft and abuse.

What function do these companies serve at this point?

Obviously, he has that right and personally I support him, but only a fool would think Trump gives a fuck about the law. There’s no more law.

They should show that video in every single Christian church in America this Sunday. Let them begin to regret their vote.

Who could have foreseen that headline back in the Loggins and Messina days? Sigh

    11. It’s a wierd take but I seem to recall other musical artists wanting to stop politicians from using their songs but they simply couldn’t legally.

Something about the song company that markets the rights and collects royalties for the music such that once it’s released to the general public, anyone has the right to license it and play it however they like.

My sympathies to Loggins, maybe he can force his music company to pull the song rights, but It’s appalling to me that apparently 8th grade boys are using my tax money to publish vulgar AI propaganda from the White House. How MAGA can turn a blind eye to this baffles me
